Creativity in other areas
My creative interests have always been very broad. If it meant writing stories, sewing clothes, painting or even making cosplay costumes. I never wanted to stop coming up with new ideas and new ways of making what I’m imagining. That also sometimes includes a little creepy Halloween costume or a cosplay for a comic convention. My creativeness was never limited to one category, and I’ve always been grateful to get to try so many different ways and paths to create something new.
Interest in other cultures
Growing up in Switzerland means growing up within its culture. But the older I got, the more I realised that the world doesn’t work the same way everywhere. I came to understand that what feels normal to me might be frowned upon by others, or simply seem strange to them.
There isn’t just one way to live in this world — there are many, and I find that incredible. Eating habits, drinking habits, the way we dress, the way we build, and so much more can be completely different from what I grew up with.
That’s why there’s a term for it: culture shock. I experienced this myself when I went to England for my exchange year. The country doesn’t seem so diffrent to mine but still it managed to surprise me every day.
